It's Official: Bottom Shelf Booked!

So yes, I have dropped off the face of the planet for a while. But now that our wedding is officially in the history books, I'm hoping to get back on the ball soon. (I'm hoping that marriage won't take the edge off of my juvenile sense of humor.)

For those of you who were wondering, everything went off even better than we could have imagined: perfect weather, beautiful ceremony, GREAT party... it reminded us that we are truly blessed with amazing friends and family. And in case you're curious as to what a Big Fat Jewish Buddhist Vietnamese American California Wedding looks like, you can get a taste of it with these preview pics at the AHS Photography site, courtesy of Amy and Aaron, the dynamic duo that helped document the day for us!

Now, time to head back to the bookstore/library to see what I've been missing out on this past month!

Congratulations! Regarding marriage: Judging from my experience--and I've been married for thirty-nine years--it hasn't take the edge off my juvenile sense of humor. In fact, my husband truly appreciates my wacky sense of humor. May you and your wife enjoy many happy and hilarious years together.

Congratulations! I live just up the road from Mt. Woodson, near the Deer Park Monastery, and had no idea it was such a beautiful place to have a wedding. The pictures are spectacular, as is your bride! Mazel Tov! I am a new reader and instant fan!

Congratulations! I went and looked at those pics, and HOW MUCH do I love that last one with you clicking your heels in the air? A whole, whole lot. What a gorgeous wedding, and she had a very gorgeous dress.

Mazel Tov!

Congratulations, Minh! As you've noticed, I didn't get the super secret wedding project together. Some people are Queen Bees who know how to galvanize, organize (aerobicize?). I'm just a worker bee, and I know it. First, the plan was to get a video together of congratulatory pieces from different bloggers. Once it became certain that it wasn't going to happen, I had another plan in mind. That plan may yet come to fruition, but it will be a most belated present.

Congratulations! The pictures are beautiful... and so artistic. I love the ketubah.

Wow, Alkelda, realized, aerobicized or not, that was a very sweet plan! The sentiment is a great enough gift!

Susan, thanks! I'm glad you liked the Ketubah... if Plans A and B for my life don't work out, I might try to make a living making Buddhist/Jewish art... or as my friend Kate named it: Budaica.
